MWIN researches existing programs and services available to veterans and offers this information to clients, providing linkage to resources for further assistance.
MWIN connects female veterans and survivors to existing programs in their community and assists them in accessing services that they may not otherwise be able to navigate on their own. Each woman that contacts MWIN is assisted by our program staff, who take into consideration the woman’s specific needs and connect her to one of many community organizations MWIN collaborates with. We offer resources as a starting point for those in need of housing options, employment, education, and legal assistance.

Examples: Food banks; Transportation; Healthcare; Education; Adult and Child day care; Nutrition; Legal assistance; Adult protective services; etc. Assisted unemployed veteran to obtain financial assistance for living expenses and food (General Relief, and CalFresh). Advocated with landlord for apartment repairs.
